My client is an independent media agency committed to making a positive contribution to the advertising world, and with a leading title amongst small independent companies, they are setting out to expand their team.
The agency is looking for an AV Director with experience of planning and buying AV across TV & BVOD to help strengthen their new AV department. The successful candidate must be commercially minded and able to think creatively and outside the box in order to successfully propel the new in-house planning and delivery function.
Build the AV response for client briefs, working closely with Head of AV & the planning team to support strategy development
Oversee and implement the planning and buying of AV across the agency
Work independently and own the day-to-day co-ordination and administration of all AV accounts
Compile and present campaign results to clients that reflect the strategic recommendation
Establish close working relationship with appropriate-level clients
Develop close and constructive working relationships within each client’s agency community
Ensure the smooth running and reporting client finances – approvals, PO’s, billings forecasts etc.
Maintain strong relationships with media owners to spot future insights and opportunities
Contribute to agency development in AV knowledge and learning
Proven experience of AV Planning and buying for brand, DRTV & BVOD campaigns
Experience of creating weekly buying updates (ratings, cover delivery), monthly/ campaign updates, full buying reviews (including competitive analyses) and on-going market intelligence
Excellent understanding of all areas of the media planning process, and the roles of AV channels within that
Strong time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Personable, with first-rate client service, written & spoken communication skills
Highly numerate, commercially astute and effective negotiator with superb attention to detail
