MuteSix is looking for a Director, Paid Search (eCommerce & D2C brands) to lead our award-winning eCommerce focused paid search team. You will develop the best strategies and management of a variety of eCommerce & D2C brands. You will sit in an important role that reports directly to the VP, Paid Search. Within the broader US Search team, you will partner directly with the leadership team to provide leadership across the business, liaising with other channel leads, ensuring an integrated response to marketing objectives. You will be a senior expert for all applicable clients and be accountable to driving the success of Paid Search (eCommerce & D2C brand focus) through both internal education and external expertise. 

You Will:

  • Be responsible for client and staff performance across brands in the eCommerce & D2C space, including staffing allocation and accountability to MuteSix margin targets

  • Manage direct reports and complete team development in addition to driving a positive culture

  • Partner with the VP, Paid Search, to continue developing the larger MuteSix paid search strategy and approach

  • Develop relationships with main client contacts, focusing on portfolio growth

  • Ensure best practices and knowledge-sharing occurs across teams, resulting in consistency, and progress in all eCommerce/Paid Search activities

  • Liaise with Paid Search Directors and other channel leaders to standardize work output and engage in cross-channel strategic planning.

  • Be a point of escalation for broad client issues or needs

  • Exhibit leadership across teams and agency; Role model of the dentsu Values

  • Develop relationships with important agency partners, including: Google and Microsoft Advertising

  • Guide experience and modern program improvements for our clients paid search programs

  • Contribute to new business development

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience working at an agency, or in-house client team

  • 3+ years of experience managing Paid Search specifically for eCommerce & D2C brands (direct response/branded campaign) with monthly spends of $100K-$500K+ per month

  • Knowledge of Paid Search platforms (Google Ads/Bing) as they apply to eCommerce brands, standard shopping campaign set up and PLAs, and Paid Search market development and trends.

  • An understanding of the fundamental differences between lead generation and eCommerce account/campaign set ups.  

  • An in-depth understanding of and ability to identify opportunities and issues working with product data feeds

  • Experience working with MTA solutions and understanding platform side optimization based on MTA read outs 

  • Experience nurturing and retaining client and employee relations by developing and mentoring direct reports and small teams.

  • Experience presenting strategic solutions driving client goals, to senior audiences

  • Experience solving client challenges by developing realistic plans, programs and recommendations for complex issues

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
