Havas Media Network is part of the sixth largest communications network in the world, Havas Group, which is owned by French media holding company, Vivendi. Overview of the Strategy Director Role
The role will have time allocated generally to the Havas Media Network group, estimated to be 25%. This will incorporate client workshops, new business and thought leadership.
Havas Entertainment clients will take up a high proportion of the time spent. Key clients include UKTV, Bumble, StudioCanal, and Remy Cointreau but there will be a variety of other live strategic projects in progress. This is an exciting and fast paced role, and you will have several workstreams live at any one time.
We are looking for someone digital minded, creative and energetic, that can juggle a breath of projects, media strategies and content strategies, while moving quickly from brief to strategic direction to idea.
The role comprises of two main elements,
Agency Responsibilities (25%)
- Content and integrated sponsorship strategies that bridge in to Play from Havas Media clients
- Sharing cultural trends across the group to inspire brilliant work on key clients
- Contributing to group level projects that pull cultural data points into strategy and planning
- Collaborating with cutting edge media owners to bring the best opportunities to Havas clients
- Ideation and workshop facilitation
Havas Entertainment (75%)
- This role is rooted in a good balance of logic and creativity. We want someone who understands rules for growth, and how to break them when needed.
- Creating a strategy vision amongst your clients and bringing the rest of the team on the journey.
- Delivering deep category level insights into the world of entertainment.
- Creates strategies that lead to incredible, hyped ideas in comms and culture.
- Can maintain standards even when working at speed.
- Translate data and insight into strategic opportunities to make sure best in class and progressive thinking is in every response.
- Find new opportunities to promote services from the rest of the network.
- Supports and champions our new planning process.

Can rally a wide group of creatives, media owners, client teams, media specialists and of course clients on a journey.
Engaging presenters, with an ability to deliver their unique storytelling style in presentations and pitches, and to comfortably run workshops understanding how to keep the energy up without losing focus on the task
As Havas we are obsessed with outcomes, so having a genuine interest in measurement and the impact of media on brand metrics, econometrics, and behaviour is key.
Can confidently translate data in to planning insight. Enjoys working with tools and tech to make planning brilliant.
Comfortably going head-to-head in meetings with senior clients and creative/PR agencies, to ensure the right media thinking is high on the agenda. Speaks up for what is right on the plan and fights to keep it.
