Head of Connectivity Operations
About this role:
As the Head of Connectivity Operations, you will be responsible for all aspects of implementation, support, and day-to-day operations for the Connectivity team. This team is responsible for driving the supply-side of LiveRamp’s business and ensuring that LiveRamp is prepared for 3rd-party cookie deprecation and other forms of signal loss in the ad tech ecosystem.
The majority of time spent for this role is the management of the implementation and support teams, based in the US, Europe, and Asia. These teams are responsible for helping new publishers and marketers implement ATS (i.e. our “Authenticated Traffic Solution”) and related products (e.g. Google PAIR, RampID Prebid Module, Meta Conversions API).
In addition to overseeing ATS implementation and support, you will be responsible for tracking quarterly goals and attainment across the Connectivity team. This includes helping to define the goals with the leadership team, establishing standards for how they are calculated and tracked, and ensuring that the necessary data needed to accurately track them is captured. These duties frequently involve collaboration with the Product Intelligence (analytics/reporting), Sales Operations, Product, and other internal teams.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with project management or operations, distributed team management, and advertising technology. You will be responsible for building sturdy bridges between externally-focused teams (e.g. business development reps), technical customer support staff (i.e. your team), and internal operations and product teams. Your ultimate responsibilities are to enable the rest of the team to do their parts to help hit our corporate goals, and to make sure the results they achieve are captured so we can evangelize them with the industry.
You will:
- ATS Implementation: Your team will own the technical relationship during the implementation of ATS, collaborating with the client and internal stakeholders to understand business goals and define an implementation strategy. You will empower them to:
- Work with the business development (BD) and sales architect (SA) teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.
- Advise on general best practices for implementing the ATS javascript or API products, Prebid configuration, and other involved systems as needed.
- Identify ways to improve our implementation process and collaborate with internal teams to make those improvements.
- Post-Implementation Support: Your team will work with live brands and publishers to make sure their deployment is successful and optimized as much as possible. You will support them as they troubleshoot technical issues and maintain relationships with the customer’s technical counterparts.
- New Product Introduction: You’ll work closely with Product/BD as we launch and expand new connectivity products, such as our integration with Google PAIR, and ensure that we have a well-defined implementation and support process for these new products.
- Global Collaboration: It’s important that our operations team members think and act globally, using consistent processes whenever possible. It’s your job to make this practical and to quickly identify deviations so the leadership team can decide if they are warranted or should be standardized, and then to own that standardization process.
About you:
- Knowledge of the advertising technology ecosystem (DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, Ad Servers, Publishers), what they do, and how they work together.
- Familiarity with internet/adtech foundations -- first and third-party cookies, HTTP, etc. Experience with pixel placement and implementation.
- Expert-level skills with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or SQL.
- Experience with Javascript, SQL, APIs, and API handlers (e.g. Postman and Jupyter Notebook).
- Willingness and desire to learn and adopt new skills - both technical and non-technical - in order to craft and deliver the best solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally.
- Proactive, thorough, and transparent in communication - people rarely need to follow up with you. You are able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills -- able to quickly understand and decompose complex questions and concepts.
- Action-oriented and independent with hands-on experience delivering business results. Comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Strong project management experience. Have a strong desire to create, implement, and iterate on cross-functional processes that lead to a standardized and positive experience for every customer.
- Willingness to travel internationally to represent LiveRamp in the US, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
- Ability to travel as necessary - up to 25%.
