Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sales to drive revenue growth across Press Gazette’s portfolio of digital, event, and sponsorship products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong B2B media sales experience and a passion for the future of journalism and media.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on new business development and account growth across Press Gazette’s commercial offerings, including:
- Sponsored content
- Display and newsletter advertising
- Event sponsorship
- Custom campaigns and creative partnerships
- Identify, engage, and close new clients, with a particular focus on media tech firms, PR agencies, and B2B service providers to publishers and broadcasters.
- Manage a personal pipeline and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Work closely with editorial, marketing, and production teams to deliver high-quality campaigns.
- Represent Press Gazette at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Report on sales performance, forecast revenue, and contribute to strategic planning.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B media sales, preferably in publishing or media-tech.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and developing long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand complex client needs and create tailored solutions.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong commercial acumen.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus.
