This role is a part of the Digital Strategy & Activation team within APEX. APEX is centralized hub within Publicis Media.

The Digital Strategy & Activation team within APEX operates between Publicis media agencies and our portfolio of preferred partners, driving standout campaign performance and outcomes that deliver on business goals for clients.
The Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy & Activation is responsible for managing a team who supports a collection of accounts at our media agencies while delivering RFP responses, campaign delivery, billing and reconciliation, partner fulfillment and solution adoption. This role will have a focus on growing our paid social business and will work to ensure the teams are being fully supported, that APEX accounts are receiving exceptional customer service, and that the business goals for APEX and our clients are both being achieved.
Responsibilities
- Foster Agency Partnerships: Build and deepen trusted relationships with senior collaborators across media agencies on social team, acting as a strategic partner who understands their priorities and positions our paid social solution as a critical driver of their success.
- Build Operational Excellence & Scalability: Establish processes, best practices, and measurement frameworks to ensure campaigns are run efficiently, deliver consistent performance, and APEX Social can scale as demand grows.
- Develop and implement vision and strategy for paid social and search offerings.
- Drive Commercial Growth: Partner with our Solutions team to identify and build new service offerings and commercials that advance our capabilities and drive agency growth. Architect different models to navigate JBP pacing, social fluid packages, and alignment to other core priorities (e.g. custom content development).
- Cultivate Platform Relationships: Manage and strengthen high-level relationships with key platform partners (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.) to ensure we have access to the latest ad products, betas, and insights. Also, routinely engage with the marketplace to understand software that can add incremental benefit to our campaigns for our clients ranging from custom algos to advanced insights and measurement.
- Build & Mentor a Winning Team: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team of paid social and paid search buyers and experts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our influencer, creative, and analytics teams to develop holistic, integrated marketing strategies that deliver maximum impact for our clients.
- Spearhead Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, new technologies, and emerging platforms to inform our strategy and provide our clients with a competitive edge.
- Oversee Client Success: Ensure the successful execution of campaigns and the delivery of exceptional results, providing senior-level oversight and strategic guidance to key accounts. Given this is a very small and growing practice within APEX, we need a leader who has zero issue or concern jumping into campaigns & managing partner issue.
Day to Day Expectations:
- Act as escalation point for our buying team, agency counterparts, and partnerships while collaborating with APEX Leadership team to address any business, service, and operational challenges.
- Possess or develop the technical knowledge and acumen required to coach team members on problem solving and troubleshooting within reporting dashboards, billing systems, and Salesforce. This role is expected to understand and demonstrate an ability to conduct the work required of all direct reports as an effort to better relate to team support needs or operational hurdles.
- Communicate regularly with Solutions team to understand capabilities and positioning for emerging products while driving agency & client adoption.
- Regularly meet with cross-departmental leads to discuss channel fluidity and account-based objectives.
- Manage executive projects with Investment, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Solutions, and Legal Teams.
- Manage communication of objectives, priorities, and process for teams who report to you.
- Serve as key point of contact for setting and executing vision for team while acting as top escalation point for agencies and accounts.
- Responsible for the team’s data hygiene across key systems including Prisma, Salesforce, and workload management documents.
- Create an environment where team members are encouraged to speak up and participate in all meetings – internal and external.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years of digital advertising industry experience (social and programmatic experience), with over 3 years of management experience
- Systems & software proficiency (Salesforce, Excel, Powerpoint, DCM, Innovid, LiveRamp, market leading DSPs, etc.)
- Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint is a plus
- Best-in-class verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills

Compensation Range: $176,700- $288,765 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
