The Role: UK/EMEA Account Manager/Senior Account Manager
We’re looking for an AM/SAM to join our UK team who thrives at the intersection of strategy, relationships, and analytics. You’ll own client success end-to-end — from campaign onboarding and performance strategy to post-campaign analysis and optimisation. If you can translate data into insight, and insight into action, this role is for you.
This isn’t a standard programmatic account role — you’ll be working at the forefront of AI-powered, sell-side decisioning, shaping how global media is bought, optimised, and measured. This role is pivotal in driving client performance and shaping SWYM’s reputation across the UK and EMEA. You’ll be the bridge between our AI decisioning technology and the agencies and brands using it — translating performance data into strategy, insights, and outcomes.
Location: Hybrid (UK London Area-based).
Travel: Occasional travel for client meetings or team events.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned brand and agency clients.
- Build trusted partnerships by understanding client goals, challenges, and performance metrics.
- Manage day-to-day communications and lead regular performance reviews — ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and tied to business outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure flawless campaign execution.
- Proactively identify opportunities for optimisation, upsell, or strategic expansion.
- Regularly prepare and present performance reviews and quarterly business reviews that highlight progress, opportunities, and innovation.
Strategic Planning
- Partner with strategy and data teams to translate business objectives into media strategies.
- Develop and oversee activation plans: supply selection, audience layering, deal structure, pricing strategy, and KPI alignment.
- Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, and performance — flagging issues early and driving resolutions.
- Ensure flawless setup and execution across SSPs and DSPs, maintaining precision in deal configurations and audience targeting.
- Advocate for dynamic, data-driven optimization — moving away from static setups toward responsive, model-based strategies.
- Act as a strategic advisor, helping clients translate business objectives into measurable media outcomes and future test-and-learn opportunities.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Pull and analyze campaign performance reports using platform and BI tools.
- Diagnose the good, bad, and ugly — identify what’s working, what’s underperforming, and why.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights that guide next steps and improve ROI.
- Collaborate with analytics and data teams to translate learnings into future model improvements.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, operations, and data science teams to ensure holistic client success.
- Participate in internal post-mortems to share learnings and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps by identifying recurring client needs and market opportunities.
Qualifications
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in account management, client success, or programmatic operations.
- Proven track record managing digital media or ad tech clients
- Experience with data-driven campaign management, optimisation, and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with programmatic buying platforms (e.g., DV360, TTD, Yahoo DSP).
- Strong understanding of digital KPIs (CPA, CTR, ROAS, reach, quality metrics) and pacing dynamics.
- Strong data literacy; able to interpret performance reports and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
