Overview
The Vice President, Social will be responsible for oversight of paid social media plan development and all aspects of paid social implementation. Please note: THIS ROLE REQUIRES A PAID SOCIAL OR DIGITAL MEDIA PLANNING & BUYING BACKGROUND and reports into SVP, Investment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of ensuring social planning and buying execution excellence
- Lead forward thinking paid social ideas for client, ensuring team is incorporating media creativity and innovation into media plan development
- Participate in holistic planning sessions regarding client overarching strategy and approach, providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for social media
- Establish and grow relationships with senior media clients, as well as be a key agency contact for partners including Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, and more
- Seek out and work with team to identify the development and documentation of paid social best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group
- Engage in collaborative planning with digital and offline agency partners to ensure holistic planning
- Ensure social initiatives are executed and managed to deliver and exceed client objectives
- Uncover opportunities and grow business through thought leadership, client expertise and consistent delivery of good work.
- Steward client interest in the areas of tracking and delivering measurable social results and analytics, market knowledge, and audience insights
- Stays apprised of new technologies and trends and a keen understanding of social landscape to incorporate into media driven solutions and business building ideas
- Craft knowledgeable and relevant POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field. MBA a plus.
- 10+ years of digital media buying/planning experience
- Experience overseeing social campaigns development and ability to confidently present and influence clients both on the phone and in-person
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills
- Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
- Must possess/develop and have an interest in the social technology marketplace including awareness of key publishers, products and trends
- Experience in regulated verticals preferred but not required

Compensation Range: $190,000 - $210,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
