Role Summary and Impact
The Marketing Operations Executive is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications team at WPP Media. The team are responsible for the WPP Media’s market reputation and influence within the advertising industry, new business strategy, collective intelligence, and internal communications
The Marketing Operations Executive plays a crucial role in optimising our marketing efficiency and effectiveness. This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining our marketing tools and processes, automating processes, and providing valuable insights to drive successful activities and achieve business objectives. This hands-on role supports the entire marketing team by ensuring systems run smoothly, data is accurate, and processes are scalable.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a range of projects across these functions. As a small team, we’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to get stuck in and share ideas. There will be an opportunity to shape this new role within the business.
A key part of the role is being able to handle a fast-moving, constantly changing environment. Working across a range of disciplines, the successful candidate must be able to effectively prioritise and flex and adapt workload based on the needs of the team and be comfortable with managing the teams’ expectations.
Responsibilities
Marketing Technology (MarTech) Administration & Optimisation:
- Administer, configure, and optimise our core marketing platforms, including HubSpot and Wrike to support marketing and communications objectives.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Proactively identify, implement, and document operational efficiencies, best practices, and streamlined processes across marketing and communications activities.
- Support leadership (e.g., VP Marketing, VP Comms) in driving departmental efficiencies and achieving strategic goals.
Project Coordination & Delivery:
- Monitor and manage the progress of marketing and communications projects, actively ensuring tasks are moving forward and deadlines are met.
Documentation & Training:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for marketing operations processes and best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Support:
- Build and nurture strong collaborative relationships with Marketing, Communications, and New Business teams across WPP Media agencies in the U.K.
- Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day team queries, providing prompt and effective support.
- Maintain accurate internal and external contact lists for communication purposes.
Strategic Contribution & Team Awareness:
- Actively participate in ideas sessions, brainstorms, and future planning initiatives, contributing insights and proposals.
- Maintain a strong understanding of ongoing team projects and priorities to facilitate effective support and coordination.
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative assistance to the team, as and when required, to ensure smooth daily operations.
