Overview of role
You will work closely with clients to improve the overall organic visibility of their website, as well as any specific KPIs, and improve and constantly advance the SEO product offering. This role is a fantastic opportunity to advance your personal SEO knowledge and increase integration with other EssenceMediacom product areas, as well as work with SEO Account Director to set and review SEO strategy for clients at key intervals.
As an Account Manager, you will act as a trusted point of contact for more junior members of the team, to reduce their reliance on the SEO Account Director.

Responsibilities of the role
Business:
- Execute the day-to-day SEO workload across a number of client accounts, including:
- All aspects of reporting (visibility, rank tracking, traffic etc)
- Keyword research and page mapping
- Technical audits and recommendations
- Site crawls and monthly health checks
- Opportunity reporting
- On-page optimisation recommendations
- Content planning
- Oversee client SEO campaigns to ensure they are delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Oversee the ongoing performance of SEO campaigns and ensure that key insights are incorporated into future activity.
- Work within pitch teams on new business or new opportunities for SEO work within the agency. This will entail working with other channel teams, senior members of the wider EssenceMediacom team and within defined time, format and requirement constraints.
People:
- Support the SEO Account Director by conducting keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical audits, competitor analysis and reporting.
- Provide support & guidance to more junior members of the team in the form of coaching, shadowing, training and other less formal methods.
- Act as a role model for any SEO Executives, Assistants or Trainees in the team – showcasing the attributes and characteristics expected by EssenceMediacom & the SEO Team.
What you will need
- An understanding of industry standard SEO tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Majestic SEO, SearchMetrics/Sistrix, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, etc. Training will be provided, but prior knowledge is advantageous.
- Ability to juggle several tasks at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work to timescale.
- A high degree of numeracy and literacy are essential.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pre-empt problems and be pro-active in producing solutions.
- Passion and interest for internet-related technology.
