Spotify revolutionized music listening in 2008 and has since expanded its innovation into podcasts and audiobooks. As the world’s most popular audio streaming service, it boasts over 615 million users—including 239 million subscribers—across 180+ markets, offering access to 100 million tracks and 6 million podcast titles. At Publicis, we manage media strategy, planning, and activation for Spotify globally. The EMEA Team oversees 18 markets across Europe, MENA, and Africa, driving regional strategy and centralized digital activation. We collaborate closely with our local market network for offline planning and local client service, with a primary focus on Brand campaigns.
Founded in 1998, lululemon is a global leader in technical athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories. The brand is currently in a high-growth phase, with 2025 revenues reaching $11 billion and a physical footprint that recently hit a milestone of 100 stores across EMEA. With a presence in over 30 markets globally, lululemon continues to expand its "Power of Three ×2" strategy to double its business through international growth and product innovation. The Publicis scope for lululemon is managed through a Global hub, with our EMEA team responsible for markets across Europe. Our remit is split into two distinct areas of focus: • Brand Campaigns: Strategic planning and activation for UK and Germany, including both digital and offline • Performance Media: Digital-only activation covering the European region.
About the role....
We are looking for an EMEA Business Director to join the Spotify and lululemon team with overall responsibility for day-to-day operational excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role reporting into the EMEA Client Lead and working very closely with all lines of business including Strategy, Digital and our Global and Local market teams.
The EMEA Business Director is a high-level orchestration role ultimately responsible for delivering best-in-class client service to the EMEA Spotify and lululemon client teams. With the support of the EMEA Client Lead, you will be leading a regional team split between UK and India ensuring great client service, operational excellence, timely global deliverables and regional strategy and planning support. You will also work alongside the Digital teams to ensure brilliant digital strategy, planning and activation, and local market leads to ensure connected planning, offline innovation and creativity and regional work sharing. The work is fast paced, digitally driven, and highly culturally relevant, making it perfect for someone passionate about connecting brands with Gen Z audiences. Best of all, this role offers the chance to work on some of the most creative and high-profile campaigns in the industry, including the renowned Spotify Wrapped and Lewis Hamilton’s partnership with lululemon.

Responsibilities
About the work....
Client Leadership
• Lead the relationship with senior regional clients, building trust and credibility and ensuring they value your input
• Partner with clients to lead and drive key projects that are critical to their business
• Maintain a comprehensive view of account health, pressure points and areas of opportunity
• Manage the Scope of Work in the day to day, overseeing the team’s delivery throughout the year
Internal Leadership
• Lead a best-in-class Media team and develop key talent
• Ensure a balanced workload across the team, stepping in to avoid pressure points becoming an issue
• Drive connectivity and collaboration with the Publicis Global and Local Market teams, ensuring learnings and best practice are shared and celebrated across teams
• Oversee delivery of all key Global deliverables such as strategy, planning, team and finance requests
• Determine upsell opportunities leveraging wider Publicis capabilities and ensuring Spotify have access to the very best Publicis have to offer
Strategy and Planning and Activation
• Oversee and support the Regional Strategy Director strategic delivery and stay close to the day-to-day running of the account, helping to connect the dots and offer a strategic voice, while also diving into the details when needed
• Connect Spotify’s global strategic direction to regional business objectives
• Work with the planning director and digital leads approach to digital planning and ensure they are maximising the impact of their investment across all channels
• Always look for operational efficiencies to ensure our ways of working develop and evolve at the required pace
Qualifications
What you need to succeed....
- Proven regional client leadership experience, including senior engagement
- Strong OOH and Digital experience and understanding of both Brand and Performance campaigns
- Strategic thinker with experience supporting Strategy Directors, with the ability to translate global brand and channel direction to regions
- Entertainment experience will be useful, or experience working in fast-paced dynamic categories
- Clear understanding of best-in-class OOH and digital activation
- Inspiring leader who develops and motivates high-performing teams
- Strong communicator and project manager across multiple stakeholders
- Confident managing upwards and influencing senior leadership
- Limited European travel is required
