Why This Role Exists
pubX builds ML-driven and agentic systems that help publishers understand, optimise, and automate how they monetise. As the product surface area grows, we need experienced product managers who can bring clarity to complex problem spaces and help the team focus on the right outcomes.
This role exists to own a core product area that supports publisher outcomes; either directly through customer-facing products or indirectly through foundational capabilities that power them. You’ll take end-to-end ownership from discovery through delivery, with clear accountability for roadmap decisions, execution, and measurable impact.
Your scope will align to company priorities and to your strengths, and may include:
- Customer-facing products that help publishers maximise revenue with minimal manual work
- Foundational layers (data, identity, internal BI) that power customer-facing outcomes
- Internal automation products that remove operational bottlenecks and scale our capacity
The Role
As a Product Manager at pubX, you’ll guide a defined product area from discovery through delivery and iteration. You’ll work closely with engineering and data science to shape scope, make trade-offs, and turn user needs into shipped functionality.
This is a hands-on role focused on discovery, prioritisation, and execution – not just roadmap maintenance. The role works closely with customers and commercial teams in UK / EMEA time zones.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end product discovery and delivery for an owned product area
- Frame problems clearly and validate them through user research and data
- Define MVP scope, success metrics, and iteration plans
- Prioritise work based on impact, effort, and learning
- Work day-to-day with engineering, data science, and operations to unblock delivery
- Use AI to increase the speed and quality of product discovery and delivery, while maintaining high standards for accuracy and data sensitivity
- Support launches and adoption with Sales and Customer Success
- Contribute to evolving our product practices and standards
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
- Ship one meaningful capability end-to-end (discovery → build → launch → iteration) with clear success metrics and instrumentation in place
- Establish a focused, outcome-driven roadmap for your area (priorities, trade-offs, and what we’re not doing)
- Strong working relationships with engineering and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Must-have
- 5+ years product management experience shipping B2B SaaS products
- Experience running discovery and scoping MVPs under real constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly articulate problems, options, and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort using data to define and evaluate success
- Pragmatic product judgment and a bias toward outcomes
- Demonstrated habit of using AI to improve day-to-day product work
- Experience working in a modern product operating model, with strong partnership between product, engineering, stakeholders, design and data
Nice to have
- Experience in AdTech / PubTech or with publisher platforms
- Experience working on technical products involving APIs, data, or integrations
- Experience shipping AI-powered features or products (including agentic workflows)
